The Maine Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals is pleased to announce they will be sponsoring a virtual Health and Safety Career Exploration Event on Friday, February 19 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. During this event, Seasoned Health and Safety Professionals from the Maine Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals will share with attendees some of their roles and responsibilities, as well as a few interesting experiences from their respective careers, with interested college bound high school students looking for a college degree program and a career that’s both challenging and rewarding. This event is also open to individuals new to the health and safety profession looking to expand their careers in the future. Event speakers include: Timothy McCarty, CSP, President of the Maine Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals and Director of Safety & Risk Consulting at Clark Insurance; Michael R. Fandell, CSP, Owner of North American Safety Services and Vice President of the Maine Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals; Sean Ryan, CSP Project Safety Manager: Turner Construction; Kurt Kirkland, ASP, TOSCA Services, LLC and Treasurer of the Maine Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals; and John Lowrie, CPP, of Safety Excellence; and, we are pleased to announce that Dr. Chris Rennix, retired Navy Captain, Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), and Chair of the Safety and Occupational Health Applied Sciences Department at Keene State College, will join us and introduce attendees to the Keene State College Occupational Safety and Health Applied Science degree programs. A Question and answer period will follow upon completion of all presentations.
