Resources for planning in workplace violence, active assailants and shooters – Updated 5/22/19

If you are planning or reviewing your school, business, or other venue’s prevention and response effort to a violent encounter on the premises (with no particular endorsement implied by ASSP/Maine Chapter ASSP) the following resources are among those available for study:

NFA ODP EMI courses held through the NH Division of Fire Standards and Training and Emergency Medical Services  including AWR-148 Crisis Management for School Based Incidents, ALERRT: Exterior Response to Active Shooter Events (ERASE) Train-the-Trainer, and AWR-313 Homemade Explosives: Awareness, Recognition, and Response (HME).  Seats may be available for out of state attendees to these courses, contact the agency.
