How you will spend your days as a Safety Coordinator:
Assist in developing, implementing, communicating, and training related to Division safety policies, procedures, and programs. Assist in documenting, investigating, designing & executing action plans for safety related incidents, accidents, injuries, safety committee meetings, hazard corrections, and employee safety training. Assist in developing, maintaining, and providing training on safety, health and environment issues and emergency plans affecting the Division; including drills, demonstrations, evacuations, maps and procedures. Update the Division’s written Safety Program as needed. Ensure Safety Committee meets monthly, meetings are documented with written minutes, and minutes are uploaded to US LBM systems. Chair Safety Committee meetings and inform committee of current issues and recent safety related incidents. Communicate information on identified hazards, precautions and required corrective actions throughout the Division and with management on facility issues related to safety – follow through to ensure prompt and effective action is taken. Conduct or coordinate periodic workplace self-inspections. Maintain company safety postings. Assist in coordinating responses to employee health or safety related complaints and concerns.
